So as we’re deep into the gifting season, we thought it would be a great idea to find out what their top SHOP picks are for the Holidays. With choices ranging from minimalist and workwear themes to fresh sneakers and statement pieces, there is inspiration here for everyone. Check out their selections below.

Joe La Puma - SVP of Content Strategy

Joe’s Pick:

“It’s winter in NYC and to me there’s not a better brand that mixes style and function than Carhartt W.I.P. This specific jacket is perfect because you can heavy-layer it for the cold months and in early spring wear it with a t-shirt. Also, even though it’s the W.I.P. extension of Carhartt, it’s still Carhartt so don’t be afraid to beat it up.”

Karizza’s Picks:

“Anyone who knows me, knows I love small purses. This Jil Sander pouch is just big enough to fit your iPhone, a wallet, and keys but it's also the perfect embodiment of what I tend to gravitate towards—it's simple but with a unique detail/twist, like the use of the faux fur, that makes it feel a little more special. I don't usually buy into trends and prefer pieces that I know I'll have and wear for a long time. This Jil Sander pouch is that for me.”

“My go-to fragrances are usually more woodsy and musky scents (Le Labo's Santal 33 and, for a more affordable version, Maison Louis Marie's No 4 are my favorites), but I love Loewe's 002 Woman perfume. The scent is floral-sweet, but never feels overpowering. It's definitely for someone who wants more of a minimalist fragrance that feels timeless. If that sounds like you, trust me this is the one.”

Matthew Welty - Senior Editor, Complex Sneakers

Matthew’s Pick:

“A pair of New Balance 991s made in the UK. Where do we start? Maybe we could go with me visiting the factory in 2015 and losing my passport. Or going back in 2017 and getting to work on my own 991. Or flash forward to 2020 where New Balance has been on my feet almost everyday to make runs to the store or walk around the block. It's hard to beat a suede running shoe with a thick sole, especially in colors that you don't have to think twice about before lacing up. And this pair is just that. Buy them, you won't regret it.”

Brendan Dunne - GM of Sole Collector

Brendan’s Pick:

“Wearing Casablanca is something like owning a speedboat without owning a speedboat. It's a visa stamp without the actual travel, a Maghreb marker of cosmopolitan luxury. It will make you feel like you're outside even if you're not, which is maybe the best thing a garment can offer in this era of isolation. I've been a big fan of their work for a while now, as the designers who I hound on social media can attest to. As much Casablanca product as I've purchased for myself and others, though, I'm still without a proper silk shirt, the brand's hero item. This one makes up for lost time and trips with graphic panels of places we cannot be for now. I'll be wearing it and pretending it's safe to go back out.”

Aria Hughes - Deputy Style Editor

Aria’s Pick:

“Having a proper rain/snow boot is important when you live in New York City, but it's hard to find something stylish. So shout out to Yoon Ambush for producing this duck boot with Converse. It's utilitarian, attractive, and sleek—who wants to be weighed down by their footwear? I also commend Converse for giving Yoon the creative license to design something other than a Chuck All Star. I imagine these duck boots will be a staple in my closet for years to come.”
