The Top 4 Street Style Trends To Shop From Fashion Week

This year has been tough for many, but it didn’t start out that way. Back in January, the fashion elite gathered in New York, Paris, London, and Milan for the Fall/Winter menswear shows, and the street style was on point. These are the top trends to shop now to put your best foot forward later.

Seeing Red

You already know primary colors are having a moment, but the choice in Paris was red all over. Make like fashion designer (and son of Stevie Wonder) Kai Morris and rock the hue head to toe. To avoid too much of a good thing, pair a red track suit with clean white sneakers and a white sweater. Throw on a cross-body bag for trekking around town.

Take Cover

In Europe, camo was huge on and off the runway. For a laid back look, pair a camo hoodie or tee with plain khakis, throw on a plain camera bag, and tie it together with sneakers that have a hint of print. Quavo pulled it off perfectly in Paris, styling with a stack of drippy chains for a result that’s better for the concrete jungle than the woods.

Cross Bodies

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, this is the year of the belt bage. Guys in Milan styled their designer fanny packs as loosely slung cross-bodies. Make sure to pick a bag that is substantial enough to go over your jacket for a utilitarian look. Leather bags look best with structured silhouettes, while slouchy canvas styles are great over a hoodie and sweats.

Softboy Style

Gents, it’s time to get in touch with your feminine side. Coined "softboy style" by Vogue, this of-the-moment trend features pastel colors, plushy velvets, and loose, unstructured silhouettes. You don’t have to go full-on pastel like the late Pop Smoke in Louis Vuitton (although we’re here for it). Start with a loose button-down, multi-colored earrings, or sneakers with a hit of pastel purple and blue.

These are polarizing times, so it’s no surprise this season’s hottest street-style trends run the gamut. From saturated primary colors to soft pastels, militaristic styling to guys finally embracing bags—these of-the-moment looks let you change up your style along with your mood.
